Xiaomi launched it’s first smartphone in 2011 and in already in 2014 it was the amongst the largest smartphone company in China. As of Q3 2020, Xiaomi surpassed Apple as the global Nr 3 smartphone maker in the world. It is also considered to be the first design driven smartphone and home appliances companies from China. From its core product of smartphones the company has now expanded and produces both a range of smart devices for home and lifestyle use as well as many software solutions.
